We’re delighted to be working with You Tell Me – aka Peter Brewis and Sarah Hayes!

You Tell Me is Field Music’s Peter Brewis and BBC Folk Award nominee and Admiral Fallow member Sarah Hayes. Their debut single, the baroque folk rock song Clarion Call, is out now digitally via Memphis Industries.

A super limited 7-inch of Clarion Call, backed with Incantation on the B-side, is out on 14 September. Each 7-inch sleeve is unique, comprising a section of a larger artwork designed and created by Peter.

Sarah says of Clarion Call: ‘This song started life while on a train journey, which is referenced in the opening lines. It’s mostly about the idea of waiting: to feel ready to spring into action, to be free of fear and anxiety… and then realising it’s often good to push on in spite of these things.’

The debut album is set for release in early 2019 and is said to be largely built around the subject of communication and miscommunication.

You Tell Me have supported This is the Kit and The Vaselines and will be heading out on tour for their own shows in October.

Special guests are Jim Ghedi and Toby Hay, performing as a duo. Jim Ghedi and Toby Hay are riding on critically acclaimed solo albums in the last year via Ghedi’s A Hymn For Ancient Land and Hay’s The Longest Day. These two accomplished guitarists decided to make a record together combining their travels and each others different playing styles into one. Recorded in a house in Leeds over two days, Hawksworth Grove Sessions is an exploration of landscapes and experiences brought together by this duo of instrumental six- and twelve-string guitar.
