When: 6.30pm on Thursday 6 June 2019
Where: Chetham’s School of Music, Long Millgate, Manchester M3 1SB
We’ve been invited to curate the musical accompaniment to Chetham’s Library’s Sundown Sessions this month!
The loveliest and most relaxing after-work drink in the city centre.
As evening gathers and the slanting rays of the setting sun illuminate the secret stone passages and richly panelled rooms of the Chetham’s Library and medieval buildings, we invite you to enjoy these magical spaces after they have closed to the public for the day. As you wander through the building you’ll encounter an intimate acoustic performance curated by Hey! Manchester as follows:
Mark Simpson is a singer-songwriter from Manchester. He sings in a jazz/soul/gospel style, and performs contemporary music on guitar. He has been performing as the leader of The Happy Soul since 2012. Mark has been a unique feature of the Manchester music scene as a solo performer for over a decade. He has performed at: The Deaf Institute, The Royal Exchange, Bolton Octagon, Parklife, Eurocultured, The Lowry, and many music venues nationwide.
Get yourself a glass of wine or a beer from the Baronial Hall and chill out in the tranquil atmosphere of this very special place.
