We’re delighted to be welcoming Left Lane Cruiser back to Manchester!

The dream team Left Lane Cruiser line-up is back: Freddy J IV is joined by his original partner in crime Brenn Beck!

Imagine RL Burnside jamming with Black Sabbath – iron-heavy slide guitar from Freddy J is welded onto even heavier slamming beats delivered by Beck… it’s great to have the guys back together in the UK after 10 years.

Headed by singer/guitarist Freddy J IV, Left Lane Cruiser is a bona fide blues rock band from the American midwest. Far from pretending to be rambling hobos for the sake of a manufactured image, Left Lane Cruiser has been genuinely living the blues for over a decade, bringing its freestyle jams to crowds all over the world.

Shake and Bake, the band’s latest album, was cooked up in a van rolling heavy on the highway, headed by two baked and juiced musicians, veering across the lines, desperately steering towards rest and redemption at the nearest parking lot. It is a record about the juice that keeps the crowd dancing, the smoke that keeps the minds lifted. This is as real it gets.

Recorded ‘old school’ analog by Jason Davis in his Fort Wayne studio, and with a cover by legendary artist William Stout (Ramones, Fred McDowell, Iggy Pop), Shake and Bake has a heavy sound and a big heart. For Left Lane Cruiser the blues is enduring and easy to feel.

Local support comes from Bones Shake. Bones Shake are a scuzzed, fuzzed, garage rock three-piece formed in 2011 in Manchester. They play everything into the red; violent bottle neck blues riffs, drums kicked, pounded and twatted and squeals of reverb drenched vocals all combine to help save your soul.

Since they started, they’ve never taken a rest from playing around the UK either as headliners or supporting bands (Black Lips, King Brothers, Walter Lure, Guitar Wolf, Jim Jones Revue…). They have also been in high demand in Europe where they have toured numerous times including a tour of prisons in France and more recently at last year’s sold out Raut Oak festival in Germany.

They have released 4 EPs and 3 LPs so far. Their last single was released in Europe via Never Trust Hippies records and their latest album, Sermons, was released in May 2019 on Manchester’s Abattoir Blues label to much critical acclaim. Having recently signed to Sister 9 recordings their new album will be released in summer 2022.
