A four-way headline show because we can’t work out which band is biggest! They’re all equally as good as far as we’re concerned:

At Swim Two Birds are one half of Hey! Manchester’s favourite Manchester band. Technically a side-project from Montgolfier Brothers singer Roger Quigley, At Swim combine warm, cinematic English folk-pop with ‘indie karaoke’, as a friend described it. At Swim supported Final Fantasy last year. This time Roger is joined by a cellist.

Tim and Sam’s Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam claim to produce their singular sound from all sorts of ingredients. Glockenspiel, marimba, banjo, ukulele, violin, cello, flute, clarinet and piano are all part of the mix. All the more impressive since Sam doesn’t actually exist except in Tim’s imagination. Tim is helped out on stage by a number of friends who bring the spirit of Sam to life.

The Pony Collaboration sound familiar, yet you probably haven’t heard them. The soundtrack to dozens of imaginary bar room brawls this whirlwind of rattling Americana will blow you away. Prepare to be taken aback by the mixture of distorted and sweet soft vocals from the male/female combination.

My Side of the Mountain are three friends from the slopes of Derbyshire hills near Buxton making imaginative music from an unlikely combination of keyboards, bleeping machines, lumps of wood and primary school percussion. With “a pinch of mountain dust”, apparently.
