Band of HorsesHere’s your chance to catch Band of Horses promoting their full-length debut, Everything All the Time, and previewing tracks from their eagerly-awaited follow up.

Formed in 2004, the group were signed following a show with friends and future labelmates Iron & Wine. Band of Horses are a melodic indie rock band, heavily influenced by Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Expect dusty sounding rock with a country twang supplied by banjos and pedal steels and a vocal style compared to Wayne Coyne or obvious hero Neil Young. Bursts of amplification cut through the churning, slow burning building jolting the songs into sudden life.

The Answering Machine are the ultimate bedroom band. It’s easy to imagine them hiding from the Manchester rain in small bedsits making their own particular brand of infectious pop. Influenced by The Strokes, The Radio Dept, The Brilliant Corners and Shout Out Louds, the Answering Machine will have you dancing all night. Whether you like it or not.

Tour support comes in the form of the Hellsayers from Asheville, North Carolina. Obvious comparisons can be made to My Morning Jacket and Howe Gelb’s Giant Sand.

This is a co-promotion with Pineapple Folk.
