When: 7.30pm on Thursday 29 July 2010
Where: Dulcimer, 567 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, Manchester M21 0AE

We love doing shows at Dulcimer, Chorlton’s celebrated ‘folk bar’ – and are therefore pleased to announce a new series of cheap or free-entry shows there. The headliner of Hey! Dulcimer #1 is a British singer-songwriter we’ve been tracking since December: Adelaide’s Cape.

Adelaide’s Cape is the musical alias of Edinburgh-born songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sam Taylor. Fusing a range of different elements from acoustic, traditional, folk and folk rock music, the sound of Adelaide’s Cape is dynamic, energised and incredibly unique.

This year, Adelaide’s Cape has toured with Alessi’s Ark and First Aid Kit, and his most recent tour was as main support to The Miserable Rich. This month has seen festival confirmations from Secret Garden Party and Underground Festival, as well as a prominent slot at the BBC Introducing stage of Wychwood Festival. In March, Adelaide’s Cape was invited to headline the launch of Communion Bristol, the club night run by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons and Kevin Jones of Cherbourg
