We’re delighted to be working with MiNNETONKA for the first time!
Born out of a love of Twin Peaks, landscapes, and photography, MiNNETONKA’s music combines Badalamenti-warm synths with spectral beats.
Guitars echo seemingly endlessly away, whilst MiNNETONKA’s quiet, almost whispered vocals draw you ever closer. Rising from intimate beginnings to a stuttering peak, then fading away, its disappearing refrain will leave you yearning for more.
Produced and co-written by Bill Ryder-Jones, and with an album to follow next year, Birds Of Prey is a bewitching indication of things to come and a perfect introduction to the world of MiNNETONKA.
Support comes from Benedict Benjamin. Benedict Benjamin is Ben Rubinstein, formerly of The Mariner’s Children and Peggy Sue (Wichita). His debut album Night Songs is a collection of timeless compositions recorded in a series of churches, bedrooms and kitchens across London and Kent with producer Dan Blackett (Landshapes, Bella Union).
